We are very proud to have had our own Anita White presenting insights from the design of ‘The Brook’ as part of Design in Mental Health in Manchester earlier this week.
The presentation shared how the design was developed to create a therapeutic, comforting, uplifting environment for recovery for people with complex sensory needs. Designing for neurodiversity was at the forefront of the project, with the added complexity of a mixed patient cohort comprising individuals who may have greatly differing environmental requirements. ‘The Brook’ is rapidly progressing to completion on site and we are proud to have been a part of this project providing specialist care facilities for Devon Partnership NHS Trust.
