Award-winning perinatal unit at Wonford House, Exeter
This new 8-bed, Perinatal Unit at Wonford House, Exeter incorporates day spaces, treatment facilities and office accommodation for the Community Outreach Team. First floor accommodation consists of family visitor flats for families not living locally. The design combines the need for creating a homely and non-institutional feel with high technical standards (HTM / HBN etc).
Now named Jasmine Lodge, this MBU building is based upon the principle of an enclosed, cloistered courtyard, offering a safe and secure heart to the scheme. All the individual bedrooms, day rooms, therapy spaces and offices focus on this green space.
