Grainge Architects are pleased to be working with Oceanside Developments on the redevelopment of East-The-Water Wharves, Bideford. Oceanside have been confirmed by Torridge District Council as the developers for this exciting riverside project in Bideford. The scheme will provide waterside apartments, car parking, retail units, restaurants and a marina on land next to Bideford’s historic Town Bridge. Grainge Architects are currently preparing a detailed planning application for submission later this year.
The architectural concept for the project is to recreate three historic quays which originally existed on the site. The new buildings will be designed in a style sympathetic to their maritime setting. These waterside properties will eventually be offered for sale with dedicated mooring facilities. The properties will include town houses, flats and maisonettes all enjoying fantastic views of the river. The proposed restaurants & retail outlets are centred around a new public square will be a catalyst for the regeneration of the whole area.
