Exeter College Centre for Rugby

Exeter College Centre for Rugby

Last week Monika and George were happy to attend Exeter College’s opening of their new Centre for Rugby. Grainge provided the architectural input throughout for the new changing rooms and teaching spaces, which sit alongside a new state-of-the-art outdoor sports pitch.

The project was possible due to innovative collaboration between Exeter College, Exeter City Council, the Rugby Football Union (RFU), and Exeter Chiefs, putting major investment in both grassroots rugby and the wider Exeter community. We were pleased to celebrate the official opening along with partners from across the city, including Tony Rowe CBE from Exeter Chiefs, Councillor Philip Bialyk and William Michelmore Deputy Lieutenant.

This project constitutes the latest in a long history of collaboration between Exeter College and Grainge Architects, with previous projects including their Exwick Sports Pavilion, an extension to their award-winning student restaurant ‘@thirty-four‘, campus accommodation and dance studio.
