A small-scale housing development within the extensive grounds of the original farmhouse. The three new builds vary in scale and layout yet share their contemporary interpretation of a courtyard barn-like architectural language. This allows the new homes to settle comfortably into their rural context while retaining a modern character appropriate to the time in which they are built.
Large window openings, open-plan living spaces, and strong feature chimneys help to define the group of dwellings as a cohesive development. High-quality external finishes of crisp render, naturally-weathering timber cladding, and zinc roofs will allow the homes to age gracefully over time.
