From cattlesheds & pick your own farm to a bustling retail centre, combining tradition and modernity into a renowned regional destination.

Development of a shopping village and related amenities, comprising both new-build and refurbishment of existing farm buildings. Grainge Architects developed concepts for the buildings and landscape, also for the branding of this centre which as well as offering ‘home-grown’ and local products incorporates individual retailers such as Fired Earth, Orange Tree, Cotswold Leisure and numerous other high-end retail outlets.

Grainge Architects have been engaged in continuing development of Darts Farm since 2001.

The wider site contains significant ‘wetland’ conditions, and a public access is encouraged through the landscaping, incorporating a visitors’ viewing pavilion designed by the practice. A significant photo-voltaic installation provides on-site electricity generation and helps reinforce the brand image.
