The Tythe Barn, Yeovil

This Grade 1 listed tythe barn, formerly listed as a scheduled ancient monument, owned by a private property development company who hope to convert it into their office headquarters, is currently in a run-down state, with a poor quality inserted first floor and used as a store.

The proposals provide 'pods' of service and conference accommodation surrounded by open plan space at ground floor level, supporting a first floor mezzanine structure which is completely independent of the original barn structure. Glazing behind the original large timber doors let light flood in to the centre of the building through a glass connecting walkway.
