Redhills School, Exeter

The original school buildings, dating from the 1970s, as well as being short of some specific teaching spaces had a number of problems - poor insulation levels, large areas of south-facing single glazed walls with associated over-heating, generally tired and dispiriting atmosphere, non DDA access issues.

On a limited budget upgrading works provided solar shading using sculptural forms which also created outside teaching spaces. A new entrance arrangement remedied previous DDA access problems. New IT and music classrooms were set creatively within existing courtyard spaces.
