Tremough Student Residences, Falmouth

This scheme, providing 680 student bedrooms in a series of 7-bedroom cluster flats together with associated facilities (caretaker's flat, surf-board storage, launderettes etc), was constructed on a steeply sloping site.  While structurally challenging, this allowed high and low level access into building blocks, which are 4 and 5 storeys high, achieving a high density of development. 

Use of timber frame technology and modular bathroom pods allowed rapid construction to tight programmes.  Despite this, a high level of environmental performance (BREEAM "Excellent") was achieved.
