Pannier Market, Tiverton

This was both an urban design and community project, involving extensive consultation with existing market traders to establish their priorities, and an opportunity to rationalise a muddled area of town centre - separating car-parking from shopping and providing a more appropriate setting for the listed Victorian market building.

It involved refurbishment and glazed enclosure of the main building and provision of new side stalls to form a defined market area. - a successful and award-winning marrying of contemporary and traditional architecture.
