Social Housing, Kingsbridge

This scheme, taken to Planning stage by Grainge Architects for a local Housing Association, required sensitive use of the brown-field site in a Conservation Area.  An existing council depot was demolished to make way for 14 new houses and flats, while an old mortuary building was converted to provide a further 6 units in a "courtyard' setting.

Traditional construction methods and materials were used, in a vernacular style in sympathy with its setting.
